A Seven of Hearts, sixteen-year-old Ester can't help but resent being trapped in a theater her entire life. She loves her family, but wants to see if there's more to life than waiting backstage.

 

However, she is given the chance to break free when her childhood friend, Rien, burns down her home and kidnaps the King's slave, leading to Ester making a deal to help track her former friend down.
